I am an experienced IT professional with over 15 years in the industry working for private and public sector organisations, with the last 4 years having been spent as a contractor.
My roles have included being a hands on developer with Oracle, UNIX, Focus and some other mainly Open Source tools, but have mainly been as either a Systems or Business Analyst. Because of the range of things that can be classed as a BA these days I tend to say that I am a Business Systems Analyst as this tends to reflect most clearly what I do and the focus of my roles.
One of the main things that I have done is modelling processes and systems using a wide range of methodologies and tools. The modelling languages I have experience of includes: Unified Modelling Language (UML), BPMN and IDEF with Use Cases having featured either with these or on their own.
My modelling tool experience includes Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, IBM Rational System Architect, Oracle BPM and much use of Visio including with various plug ins.
